Answer 40... Rc3!! is what Daoud played and it leads to a forced mate.
Black is threatening 41...Re3#
In order to stop this, White has to do something like 41. Re2 (which is what I played in the game)
But then Black has the genius move 41...Rxg7!! threatening 42...Rg4#
If 42. fxg7 f5#
There is no way for white to stop all the mate threats. If 42. Rh4 Rgg3 and there is no way to stop the Re3# threat.
