Game Of The Week

This week's game comes from the Colorado Closed Challenger.  It is now the third episode in my Challenger Trilogy:

I wasn't planning on writing about this event so much, but the fates have conspired against me.  My one loss in the event was to Chris Peterson.  The one person in the event who publishes his games is Chris Peterson.  I used to like Chris Peterson.  Now I think of him like the '85 Dolphins, as he ruined my undefeated tournament.

Chris Peterson was in my head from the second I sat down at the board, as he promised to publish my loss on his Youtube channel (www.youtube.com/user/sagacious00004).  I was over-thinking every move and wasting tons of time on phantoms.  When I decided to speed things up a bit, I came up with this atrocious idea.

The White Knight attacks the Rook and defends the Pawn.  How could it be wrong?  See if you have the same keen discernment as Chris did by finding the best move.

You can click through the chess viewer to see Chris' response and quick finish to this game.  Or you can listen to Chris in his own words from his Youtube channel:

Here is a special edition of my chess analysis. I wanted to get the video up so it can coincide with Paul Anderson's Colorado Springs newsletter (in case he wrote one about this game). This game is an interesting Dutch-Peruvian Gambit which is a dynamic, albeit poor, defense to the Queen's Gambit Declined.

This game is from Round 3 of the 2013 Colorado Closed --
